Jelgava Spidola State gymnasium is a Candidate School* for the Middle Year Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Jelgava Spidola State gymnasium believes is important for our students.

Mission Statement

Jelgava Spidola State Gymnasium aim is to develop purposeful, value -oriented, erudite and adaptable personalities who can actively participate in everyday life for the better future of the city, state, Europe and world.

For this aim, the school cooperates with local and state governments, entrepreneurs and public organisations, participates in local and international projects to enhance the students’ understanding of local and global systems. In the future, we hope to see our learners as active, decisive, respectful, open-minded people who can create a better world for everyone.
